Now Hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to Build the Gross Reservoir Expansion
Kiewit Barnard is looking for heavy equipment operators to help us build the Gross Reservoir Expansion Project. Seeking operators for dozers, excavators, loaders, rollers, graders and haul trucks.
About the project: The Gross Reservoir Expansion Project will raise the existing dam by 131 feet, tripling its capacity from approximately 42,000 acre-feet to 119,000 acre-feet. The Kiewit Barnard Gross Reservoir Expansion Project’s anticipated completion date is Spring 2027.
BONUS INCENTIVES
We value the experience, skills and dedication our craft brings you bring. Kiewit Barnard provides several employment incentives from when you start your heavy equipment operator role to the milestones you’ll reach with us, including:
$75 a day or $450 a week per diem
Depending on your shift schedule, earn either $75 a day per diem or $450 per week.
Retention Bonus
For every hour you work, we’ll deposit $3.00 into your own Retention Bonus Bank (RBB). Receive 50% of your RBB balance on June 1 and December 1 of each calendar year. Payments are subject to tax and withholdings. Additional terms apply.
$2,500 rehire bonus
If you previously worked at the Kiewit Barnard Gross Reservoir Expansion project and are rehired, you’ll receive a $2,500 bonus after completing your first four weeks of work. Rehire bonuses are paid within seven weeks of restarting employment. Additional terms apply.
Additional Perks
Transportation is provided to the project site from a staging area in Golden, Colorado, saving you time, money and a longer commute.
Pay & Benefits:
- $33.19 to $34.58/hr
- $75/ day per diem
- $3/hr retention bonus available
- $2,500 rehire bonus available, if eligible
- Opportunity for apprentices at applicable rates available
Requirements:
- Experience operating:
- Dozers (CAT D-4 to D-10)
- Excavators (Cat 308 to 390)
- Loaders (CAT 950 to 988’s)
- Rollers
- Off-road haul trucks (CAT 745, 770 and 773’s)
- Tracked haul trucks
- Graders (CAT 140M)
- Preferred a CDL – Class A with Tank Endorsement (water truck)
